Pictures of Kai's birthday in Xinjiang

I can't believe how big he looks. The kids all ended up with cake on their faces

Article 5 and now the wait for travel approval

Yesterday I received an email from our agency stating that we are now officially waiting for travel approval (TA). Our article 5 has been delivered to the appropriate agency and now we wait!
Our options for travel are either October 13 (as long as we have TA by Sept. 23), or November 5th. While the October date is a more desirable time for travel to Xinjiang, the Trade Show will be taking place in Guangzhou (GZ) at the end of October/ first week of November. This makes it incredible difficult to obtain a hotel room in GZ for the last week of travel. I am placing my bets on  November travel.

How we celebrated Kai's birthday

Over the weekend the girls and Brooks made Smores!! YUMMMMM.

This gave me some free time to start packing for the upcoming trip

Kai's Birthday

Over the weekend Kai turned 6. We were able to send him a care package with a cake. We were hoping to receive some pictures of him with his cake but... no such luck as of today.  :(
